Pakistani film playback and ghazal singer Arthur Nayyar, popularly known as A Nayyar, surpassed away on Friday after a prolonged contamination.
Born on September 17, 1950, Nayyar shot to fame after his making a song debut in 1974 movie Bahisht. His first film music Yunhin din reduce jayen, yuhin shaam dhal jaye turned into a duet music with Rubina Badar in movie Bahisht (1974), composed with the aid of A. Hameed.
He gained Nigar Award for best playback movie singer in 1979, 1985, 1989 and 1991.
His romantic duets with Naheed Akhtar and Mehnaz were very popular with human beings and his solos have been properly preferred too.
A. Nayyar has earned seven Nigar Awards, eight Graduate Awards and four Bolan Awards.
